FROM JACK’S DESK…

We don’t do cheap!! Just a few observations about how the window and siding renovation industry is changing…..

Business is slower than normal this spring, and one disturbing trend I’ve noticed is that there are more and more people with very little experience calling themselves window and siding renovation contractors. Sure, they may have adequate experience as a roofer or as a new construction siding installer, or they may be a reasonable ‘handyman’, but nothing can substitute for over thirty five years of experience in the renovation window and siding replacement industry. It was around 1990 that we at Jacks decided to get away from doing subdivision new construction siding work and concentrate on renovation window and siding replacement. That meant getting away from low gauge and low quality products and sourcing out heavier gauge siding and aluminum soffit and eavestrough products. That meant focusing on higher standards in installation practices and not free lancing or subcontracting any work out. For example we are the only company that I know of that fastens all of their eavestrough components with rustfree coloured aluminum rivets, instead of painted zinc screws that rusts. We only install aluminum soffit that is about 50% thicker than what you will find at the local lumberyards and even the local siding suppliers. And the same principal applies to the vinyl siding and the custom vinyl shingle that we install. And there is a world of a difference in the vinyl window that we sell, compared to what you will find from the local building supply retailers…

So if all you are after is the cheapest price, don’t call us. Instead, go ahead and call your ‘friend of a friend of a friend’ who will do the job for less, quite often for cash. But if you want a reasonably priced siding eavestrough or window installation, call the company that is fiercly proud of every job that we do. Call the local siding contractor who will only use installers who have decades of experience, who warranties everything they install. Call the company that has withstood the test of time. Jack’s Aluminum Limited. After all, not only do we know how to install, we also know how not to install…we are reasonable but, we don’t do cheap!!

Buy from your local contractor…Jack’s Aluminum Ltd. We are here to stay…Since 1976.

So hurry and get your quotes for windows siding, soffit, fascia and eavestrough.

My Installers would love to help you with your plans, and remember, we are a no pressure company.

The price given now, will likely be effective all year. Do not be duped by the ‘buy now’ high pressure sales.

Our supplier prices and operating costs should remain the same for most of 2013.
